Back ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)
ABS sheets are produced by single-layer or multilayer extrusion with ultra-high stiffness. The sheets may have a glossy or embossed finish, various colors and tints (including metallic effects). They may be used for thermoforming of interior and exterior trim elements for cars, buses, tractors, agricultural machinery, etc. (panels, covers, roofs, fenders, bumpers, spoilers, thresholds, etc.), as well as cases, luggage, furniture, refrigerator internal parts, plumbing fixtures, suspended ceilings, interior finishing, bathroom finishing, outdoor advertising, etc. The material is resistant to direct weather impact, sunlight, frost, heat and wind.
ABS co-extruded with PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate)
ABS sheets co-extruded with PMMA (so-called “plumbing plastic”) are multilayer sheets, intended for thermoforming of plumbing fixtures — bathtubs, sinks, shower cabins, shower trays, fountains, sauna elements, bathroom furnishing and finishing. ABS/PMMA sheets have good dielectric properties, high impact strength and weatherability.
Upper layer — acrylic (polymethyl methacrylate). Layer thickness up to 15%. Provides for strong durable gloss, combined with superb surface quality. Offers improved chemical and corrosion resistance. The acrylic layer guarantees UV protection, great surface quality with a strong gloss, chemical resistance, scratch protection.
Lower layer — ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene). Helps make forming easier. High impact strength helps make further machining of manufactured articles easier, which allows embedding of functional and decorative elements without any problems. This material may also be used for different methods of reinforcement. ABS offers improved impact strength and resistance to low temperatures.
