Back                                                              Polystyrene

Polystyrene (PS) is a product of styrene polymerization — the most well-known material, used in lighting engineering. High fabricability of vacuum and thermoforming, no residual internal stresses after forming, eliminating a need for annealing, sufficient rigidity — all of this made PS one of the most widely used plastics.

There are two main types of polystyrene: GPPS (General Purpose Polystyrene) and HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene)
General Purpose Polystyrene is a clear, light-diffusing, non-impact-resistant material, used mainly for interior glazing as an alternative to acrylic. (Read more…)
High Impact Polystyrene is an opaque material that is easily painted in any RAL color and offers high impact resistance. Impact strength up to 60—70 kJ per sq. m. It is used for a wide range of applications — outdoor advertising, shop equipment, refrigerator parts, etc. (Read more…)
